Oli joined Dream Ventures in 2024. The US-based firm invests in technology and consumer businesses from late seed to Series A. Oli has an entrepreneurial background in sports publishing and has previously served as Managing Director of a venture investment platform.
As a partner at a firm backed by a single family office, Oli offers a clear view on how family-backed capital approaches investment, and how this differs from more traditional venture models.
Brendan Kilcawley, Director, UKTV Ventures
Brendan leads UKTV Ventures, the multi-million-pound media-for-equity investment fund run by UKTV, the British broadcaster owned by BBC Studios. Rather than investing cash, the fund provides premium TV advertising airtime across UKTV's channel network in exchange for minority equity stakes in high-growth companies. Investments include KinKind, PitPat and The Farewell Guide.
As an investor deploying non-cash capital, Brendan brings a distinct perspective on how corporate backed funding can support brand growth in ways traditional capital cannot.
Gillian White, Head of M&A, Howard Kennedy LLP
Gillian leads the M&A practice at law firm Howard Kennedy LLP, advising entrepreneurial ventures and large corporates on investments, joint ventures and acquisitions. The firm has acted for a wide range of retail, consumer and leisure businesses including Pandora, Bimba Y Lola and Foot Locker, with Gillian advising Vyrao on its investment from L Catterton.
Drawing on experience across multiple transaction types, Gillian offers a legal perspective on how investors and companies approach deals in today's market.
